March of Solidarity: Afro-Caribbean and Pan-African Communities Stand with the People of Burkina Faso

In a powerful show of unity and Pan-African consciousness, members of the Afro-Caribbean community and Pan-African movements came together to organize a March of Support in solidarity with the new revolution unfolding in Burkina Faso, led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

This historic march, held in London Manchester brought together voices from across the African diaspora—activists, students, elders, community leaders, and allies—who echoed a single, resounding message: “Let us come together and free Africa.”

The demonstrators marched not only in support of Burkina Faso’s ongoing quest for sovereignty, dignity, and true independence, but also in solidarity with all African nations striving to break free from the grip of neocolonialism, exploitation, and foreign interference.

Holding flags, banners, and signs that read "Stand with Burkina Faso", "Support the African Revolution", and "United Africa, Strong Africa", participants walked with pride, chanting messages of liberation and unity. Speeches were delivered, drums were played, and songs of freedom rang through the streets—invoking the spirit of Thomas Sankara, Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, and other giants of Africa’s struggle.

At the heart of the march was a deep respect for the courage and determination shown by the people of Burkina Faso under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, who has become a symbol of a new generation of African leadership—committed to self-determination, justice, and African pride.

Organizers of the event declared:

“We stand with our brothers and sisters in Burkina Faso because their struggle is our struggle. Their fight for freedom is Africa’s fight. Today, we say: enough division, enough dependency. Africa must rise—united, sovereign, and free.”

This march was more than just a political event—it was a cultural and spiritual call for African peoples everywhere to awaken, connect, and act. From the Caribbean to the continent, from the diaspora to the grassroots, the message was clear:
"The time for African unity and freedom is now.
